Tour #1:

Overview 7-days trek (without Ras Dashen)

Day 1

Usually, all of the Simien mountains tours start in Gondar, on the North. We can pick you up there or in Addis Ababa, according to your requests.

On the first day of the tour we’ll start to drive from Gondar to Sankaber. After two and half hours drive we’ll leave our car and will start walking for about 3-4 hours till we reach the Sankaber camping site (10498.7 ft, 3200 m). Here we’ll take a rest and go sleep early.

Day 2

From Sankaber campsite we start our hike to Geech. On our way we’ll enjoy the Jinbar falls and after 6-7 hours hike we will reach the Geech campsite.

Day 3

From the early morning, we move out towards Chenek. After 7-8 hours hike we’ll get to the beautiful campsite of Chenek (11877 ft, 3620 m). En route we’ll take the opportunity to enjoy the infamous Emet Gogo scenic view (12881 ft, 3926 m).

Day 4

From Chenek we will be hiking to Sona. This will be a full day hike all the way to another campsite (10171 ft, 3100 m)

Day 5

From Sona to Mekarebia (6890 ft, 2100 m). As you can see, we’ve started to descent, but the views and panoramas are still breathtaking!

Day 6

We’re continuing our trek to the Mulit campsite (6234 ft, 1900 m), enjoying the nature, wild animals, baboons, green trees and flowers. Also, mountain views add a lot to our journey!

Day 7

The last day of our trek, but, hopefully, not the last in Ethiopia! We’re walking down to Adarkay and then drive back to Gondar or continue to any other destination.
